Last week I found out about a good Salvation Army in the city. Although I woke up friday, and it was pouring outside, my excitement and perserverence drew me outside.
I was not disappointed. I opened the door to racks and racks of clothing just waiting to be searched. I found a new women's dress and a men's sweater for the store, along with some shirts and a pair of jeans for me.
As I was about to leave I glanced to my left at the coats hanging up and saw the most beautiful vintage coat! Burnt orange suede, hip length with wide lapels, and a matching suede belt around it. There was no price tag on it, so I had to go to the front and ask. The woman said $45. I know that the other clothing I had totaled around $30, so I didn't want to pay $45! I told her I'd walk around and think about it, she then said $40. I still wouldn't budge. I walked away and rounded the corner. Then one of the men who worked there, who was also upfront came over and told me he'd give me everything I had (including the jacket) for $40!!!
